they dump big piles of salt around new england
new england is a place not a state, north of the south, east of the west and it gets cold in the winter and snow freezes on the road so crews spread salt to help it melt.

i heard they have switched to sugar beet juice in some states. if they start doing that here, i will be licking the roads all winter long.
