My Robot Is Pregnant theme song!

I began my robot in 1992 while I was living outside of San Francisco in a small abandoned gold miner’s camp.(see photo) I lived high in the hills above Silicon Valley,where at night I watched the headlights down on Highway 280 fly by like fire-fly fights and I grew lonely knowing there were people down there going to stores, to offices, to car shows. People seeing people everywhere they went. Even at home! I needed companionship. So I began plans for my robot. Late at night when even 280 was silent and the coyotes had eaten and found a place to rest, I crept down to Las Gatos, Belmont, Palo Alto, all the digital towns, and I explored like a racoon in the dumpsters. I found computer parts, electronics, nanotechnology byproducts and 3 prong adaptors – everything I needed to engineer my companion. It took 9 years, but finally in 2001, my robot was functional. We spent the next three years keeping each other company, laughing, learning, rebooting, rediscovering what it means to be man and what it means to be machine. And now, on March 20th, 2004, I am proud to announce to all who can hear, "My robot is pregnant!"
