Sonja, whose flickrstream we saw the other day, found this message included in a package of pantyhose she recently purchased, and was hoping to find a translation for it. It is hand written in ballpoint pen. Any ideas?

  1. “Just let God bring my miss and my tear, don’t let me wait for your coming back in vain.”

My friend in China says it’s part of a Chinese ‘song word’. I assume that means it’s a song lyric.

That’s a pretty neat thing to do, I must say. I’m sure the factory cranking these out isn’t necessarily a great time. This is kind of like a flower growing in the middle of a parking lot, to me.

  3. Sonja sent me this message:

I posted the pantyhose thing online & someone repied back
“Mandarin is my 2nd language, and translated roughly the above says “let the elder take away my longing, take away my tears, and not let me wait painfully for you to come back to me”.”

isn’t that beautiful? what a sad message, i’m keeping it forever.

  4. It sounds a lot nicer coming from the person with English as the first language.
