friday nite

Sean came by Friday night and helped me change the brake pads on the big white truck. We had Doug, Jenny and Nick out there lifting on the front end while Sean and I got the wheels off. That worked fine so we went inside and drew some pictures. Sean drew the lock. Nick drew the rainbow below.

  1. San Francisco sounds cool. I guarantee you no one in Milwaukee got together on Friday Night and drew pictures.

  3. Maybe we could have a skype drawing party next friday? Actually, we usually have band practice friday nites because it keeps us out of the bars and everyone’s broke in the band. I thought father’s lost their friday nights anyway. What do you do?
    p.s. thanks robert!

  4. We lose our Friday nights because we can’t be off our game on Saturday. No rest for the wicked. Kids jumping up and down on me by 6:30, no matter what.

Kids are in bed by 7, wife by 9. I don’t have a band to keep me out of trouble or any money to get into trouble. The urge to rabble rouse hasn’t died. It keeps me up and depressed until about midnight.

  5. I don’t know what to say about that, Lyle, but i appreciate it. Probably not every nite sees you up and depressed, but it’s good to admit it can happen. No one’s happy all the time. Its probably pretty rewarding at 630 when the kids are jumping.

  6. the collage is really nice, the yellow vag below, not so much.

you write about having free time, maybe some more collage work is in order, bigger pieces, stuff that you can show. bring the cube truck to oakland on a first Friday/ Art murmur (think a la Budget Gallery) and sell/ show yer work. Afterwards, have a drink at the Stork Club and then get the hell out of Oakland because you don’t live here!

  7. You’re on. Do I show up and park and sell/show my stuff inside the truck? Or can you set me up with a gallery? Sounds fun either way. Don’t know who you are but thanks for the challenge.
