Ah, the mummified rat. I’ve seen one of these before. Also found it so unusual that I took a picture of it. My theory is that rat poison caused it to dehydrate. Ordinarily it would die peacefully in the woods or attic, but the poison caused it to die in a garage where the heat and cold and lack of parasites allowed it to become mummified instead of decaying into soil. I suggest you encase it in clear epoxy and mount it on a wall.
I think you should make a little sailboat for it; buy one of those little nips of rum and glue it to its hand (drink half first). Then put the rat on the boat and send it out to see. Maybe draw a little pirate flag on the sail. ? Give me a call

It was outside under a pallet. It had been living in the go kart stored on the pallet, had eaten the interior of the go kart, and pooped everywhere.

Save that rat for a rainy day. Put it outside and watch it come back to life.

i flung it and it hung up in a tree at my mother-in-law’s house. it’ll still be there when you arrive, lyle. like a fuzzy, leather christmas ornament.

Maybe put a zipper in its belly (now empty) and use it as a purse.
