homeowner vandalizes self
This is the kind of graffiti I love. A neighbor calls the building inspector because they think the house is lead painted and improperly prepped for an update. The homeowner goes mental.

I was talking to the current owner a few weeks ago while he was up on the scaffolding painting (he also owns the oldest pipe store on Haight and is completely OBSESSED with victorians), and then I looked up the history of the place. My favorite part is the Czarist exiles who opened a night club on the ground floor in the 20′s.
