never trust a whiskey tenor

painting by Jarid del Deo

Jarid drank too much. But I liked him. He was an artist.

“I’m painting the lesser known birds of the Northwest. The grayish brown ones that no one cares about. Not birds of prey. Not eagles. No hawks. Just dirty little birds that sing songs.”

  1. actually Jarid doesn’t drink too much. I just don’t know his personal weakness. Point being I’ll like him anyway, whatever it is.

  3. you mean the chicken of the trees on his myspace I suppose. I have it straight from the stallion’s mouth he is working on a whole series. When Jarid’s done maybe we can have an art opening here on the internet. Wine, cheese, the whole thing.

  4. Nice work, jarid. Any chance you might be painting a Golden-Crowned Kinglet; so stubby it’s a pigmy goat’s eye in the sky.
