My iphone has a 2MP camera, I can buy a 12 mp camera at best buy for $119. How about a 6 MP camera in the iphone for 60 bucks more? I'll take it. It's to their advantage to put a better camera in. I'm a share holder in Apple btw. I bought at 70 and it just hit 270 a share. I want apple to do well so I'm making a specific complaint. If they can figure out how to get a great camera in there for cheap, I'll be really rich. This blog post is an attempt to get the ball rolling. You don't put a good camera in an all-in-one deal unless you really think it'll make it a selling feature (which it isn't - yet anyway). To get a decent picture with normal cameras, you usually have to get one that's at least $250 or so, that would add some $200 to an iphone... you want to buy a $800 Iphone? Anyway, cameras have problems with low lighting; and when the lower the lighting is, the more movement will be a problem. Regular cameras compensate with flashes, and then you get into flash ranges, timings, which only the more expensive cameras and flashes will deal with. Sucks you can't just change the camera portion in it seperately, but you can't. So either you get a thin camera and carry it all the time or just deal with shitty pictures... it's not like you're going to frame 'em. All cell phones take lousy pictures.
