I called every “white” dude I knew, but they’re either studying for an english degree or working a 9 to 5. I needed help carrying 30 sheets of drywall up into an attic. It took about 45 minutes.
It was wild man. Just like picking up a whore. you look ‘em over, make eye contact with one, he smiles, so he gets in the truck. He comes back an hour later sweaty and money in his pockets. His friends laugh. Didn’t help that I had my beekeepers jacket on that says, “sex worker”.
