I'm from Louisiana. You could've headed up to Shreveport and visited my mom at her Subway. She would've been like, "You's a tall white boy, but any friend of Eb's..." Then she would've fed you free food and asked you to paint her house or do some form of manual labor on her property. Although I haven't spoken to her in over a year and vowed never to do so as long as I draw breath on this earth, a progress report would have still been nice. Oh well. Hope you're doing OK, Rolston. I'm interviewing Gus Van Sant and James Franco in the morning for that new film about Harvey Milk. Gus is the reason why I went to film school. I will try not to cry when I meet him.
