on a similar vane, stopped by cabot street market on my way through town, i do it occasionally just to get the pulse of the town and to my surprise they had chore boy at the counter. Chore boyislike steel wool but made of brass I think. You use it in your crack pipe. Interesting.

was bartending today at the phonebooth…not my usual shift, sunday afternoon, kinda bleak…kinda lonely the first few hours. great spot for people watching tho, corner of 25th and south van ness…hot spot for all those recent shootings…around 3 p.m.and i’m cutting limes. common sound: a heavily laden cart, being man-handled by your typical hard-working, long-hauling homeless. common sight, but i didn’t know this guy. turns out his usual neck of the woods is dirty thieves, local dive on 24th and treat…can collector. he had front row seat for the slaughter of hells angel leader. supposedly a random hit, but no, my guy says it was planned. right before it happened some rich lady in a s.u.v. hit the shooter’s motorcycle, knocking it flat-ass onto the ground.she tried to exchange insurance information but dude was on a mission…supposedly shooed her off,uprighted his bike and did his dirty business…my eye-witness is bummed cuz the bar has been last two days…he’s had to branch out,improvise….do you have any cans ‘mam??? hooked him up. the funeral was today in daly city…we do what we can…help each other out….tho, i’m not really into my front row seat…
