I was in Colon, Panama getting ready to depart for Portobello, Panama, where most the stolen Incan gold was loaded onto ships and sent to Spain. What we didn't know was that our transmission was about to a huge crap and we would be stuck in a remote harbor for two weeks, and then we would have to sail without the engine back into colon, which happens to be the Caribbean entrance to the panama canal.
